Many Thanks For The Post !!
@DudeLove1996
Or Hollywood, or vegas.
@thatguy203 There are lots of bass players to recomend… Personally i got inspiration from Jaco, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Graham Chapman, Rocco Prestia and Larry Graham
I love that part from 0:00 to 3:55
@thatguy203 You’ll find out that it’s not about who plays the fastest or shreds the most – once you get beyond that you’ll forget about making lists like that. Speed can be measured quantitatively. Some musicians are faster than others on their instrument; musicality cannot be measured quantitatively. Nobody is “better” than anyone else, musically. There is no “best” when it comes to music. Explore music that you enjoy and you’ll discover lots of musicians that you enjoy.
@jonnyrb1981 Just took a listen to squarepusher and i really like him. Thanks for mentioning him.
@jonnyrb1981 Please don’t rag on me for saying this, but i honestly dont know who that is but ill look him up.
@thatguy203 Oh and i forgot. These are just my favorites. These are people that i like to listen to, not a list of most skilled bassists or best musicians who play the bass.
@Parvenu333 Your probably right. Im only 14, and i play the bass. Im learning about different musicians right now, but I honestly don’t know that many. Got any recommendations?
Makes me want to buy some bell bottoms and get groovin’ again.
Man what an awesome bass player… RIP
@thatguy203 No room for squarepusher on your top five???
I want his sack..RIP JACO
Best bassists, or best musicians that play the bass?
If it’s the former, your list is sort of close. If it’s the latter, you’re so hilariously wrong that you should probably consider waiting several years before sharing your opinions about music again.
grooooooove it!
@thatguy203 Actually, for 5 i have to put Gustavo Dalfarra. He’s not very big at all. He plays on the streets on Spain, but he’s awesome. Look em up on youtube.
My list of best bassists
1) Victor Wooten
2)Jaco
3)Stanley Clarke
4)Flea
5)Eh tied between Marcus Miller and John Entwistle.
air bass!
Jaco the legend will always be known as “The World’s Greatest Bass Player”.
He reinvented the bass, started the whole fretless bass thing, changed the way that music was heard by his producing also. He was the guy that many people in the music industry attribute to modern music. He changed the whole sound.
Unfortunately he was not only a genius as many or most great musicians and producers say but he was also troubled with mental illness, drug abuse and alcohol abuse unfortunately.
Jaco was to the bass, as Bruce Lee was too martial arts
@Satanicm0nk Do it.
Listen to the horns intro of Maceo & All the King’s men’s Got to getcha (off Doin’ their own thing released in 1970 and one of Jaco’s all time fave record)
‘…I know where I stole every note…’
Talent borrows, genius steals
One of the funkiest songs with a great bass line, go Jaco.
Visite my channel for some great bassworks! Jaco forever!
i love playing this song! one of my faves

His playing sends a chill down my spine. A true musical god.
There is no other sound in the world like this.
I love playing this song. I love it when he plays it. I agree with mommyquake this song is touching. Made me almost cry. His life was such a mess outside of music.

Jaco é Jaco se ele não estivesse revolucionado o baixo não estariamos improvisando nem nada estariamos só conduzindo e de maneira bem simples.
My favorite Jaco song…it touches my heart like few songs can. I think this was his gift; he gave so freely of his own heart, that you can’t help but feel it in your own.
He says a lot in under two minutes. Thanks a million for posting, that is beautiful, one of my all time favourite pieces of music of any kind.
Excelente. de los mejores temas de Jaco! gracias por el vídeo
la mescla entre el bajo y la orquesta es hermosa… digno de la musica de jaco
